Horizon IP Scan
The EU Directorate-General for Growth project aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) make efficient use of intellectual property in collaborative research and innovation efforts under the Horizon 2020 or Horizon Europe programmes. The aim is to help SMEs in these joint research projects to manage and use their jointly generated intellectual property.

Intellectual Property Booster (IP Booster)
The project of the EU Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) focuses on a new specialised, professional IP service for public research organisations that want to realise value out of their research results. IP Booster provides services to support R&D organisations and universities in marketing their IP portfolios. Services eligible for funding: IP audit, patent landscaping, IP due diligence, preparation of patent, design and trade mark applications, novelty assessment, advice and assistance in negotiations on technology transfer contracts.

IPA4SME
The EU Commission’s pilot project (DG Growth) offers financial and expert support for intellectual property (IP) valorisation and protection services to SMEs that have been awarded a Seal of Excellence (SOE) from the H2020 SME Instrument programme, including IP pre-diagnostics (IP audit), pro-rata reimbursement of EPO fees (maximum 2,500 euros per patent application) and of legal fees up to 2,000 euros.
In Germany, the patent information centres have been accredited as experts in IP pre-diagnostics by the EU Commission and should be contacted directly by companies, if necessary.

IPMED
The IPMED project (IP Capacities for Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in the Mediterranean Region), funded by the European Commission under the ENI CBC "Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme", intends to help local authorities in the project region understand how they can better support entrepreneurs in using and optimising their intellectual property rights.

ARISE Plus Intellectual Property Rights (ARISE+ IPR)
The programme is one of the components under the Enhanced ASEAN Regional Integration Support of the European Union, or ARISE Plus for short. The IP programme supports regional integration through intellectual property cooperation and aims to upgrade the systems for creation, protection, utilisation, administration and enforcement of intellectual property, in line with international best practices and standards and the strategic objectives of the ASEAN Intellectual Property Rights Action Plan 2016-2025. ARISE+ IPR is funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

IP Key China
The EU project to improve cooperation between the EU and China with regard to selected new intellectual property (IP) challenges, is directed and funded by the European Commission and implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). IP Key China aims to support and facilitate market access to international firms and innovators, to increase transparency and improve the implementation of intellectual property and the IP enforcement system.

IPR SME Helpdesks
All four IPR Helpdesks are funded by the Directorate-General Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (GD Growth) of the European Commission from the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). The IPR Helpdesks support European Union (EU) small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to both protect and enforce their intellectual property (IP) rights in Europe or relating to China, Latin America, South-East Asia through the provision of free information and services. This takes the form of jargon-free, confidential advice on intellectual property and related issues as well as training, materials and online resources.
The European IP Helpdesk provides free advice and information on intellectual property (IP) and focuses on EU SMEs, participants and candidates for EU-funded projects, and EU innovation stakeholders for a stronger IP implementation in the EU innovation ecosystem.
