German Patent and Trade Mark Office takes part in the 16th Long Night of the Sciences in Berlin

Munich. On 11 June 2016, the 2016 Long Night of the Sciences (Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften) begins at 17:00 and ends at 24:00 (local time). An extensive programme will allow fascinating insights into the world of science and research.
During the "brightest night of the year", 73 scientific institutions will open their doors in Berlin, including the Technical Information Centre Berlin (TIZ Berlin) of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA). With its 2016 cooperation partners, Art & Science Node (ASN) and MAPEGY GmbH, it will create an interesting and varied experience for young and old. You can expect many attractive topics at the TIZ Berlin:
- art meets science
- panoramic photography
- the discovery of the planet Neptune
- inventions from Berlin
- and much more

The German Patent and Trade Mark Office
The DPMA is the federal centre of expertise in the field of IP protection in Germany. With a staff of over 2,500, it is the largest national IP office in Europe and the fifth largest national patent office in the world.
